Data and account controls
CircuitQuest keeps revision progress so you can review what you missed. It does not claim that a quiz score proves practical competence.
Guest mode
Guest answers, round history, settings, XP and review queues are stored only in the browser where you played. In game Settings, you can export them as JSON, import an earlier export or reset them. Clearing your browser storage can remove guest progress.
Account mode
Creating a profile links a chosen name and animal companion to your ChatGPT sign-in identity. CircuitQuest uses the site-specific identity supplied by the hosting platform; it never receives your ChatGPT password. Account progress is stored in the site database and can be used on another signed-in device. The profile page has explicit sync, export and deletion controls.
Rewards
XP, sparks, trophies, companions, hats, palettes, frames, backgrounds, titles, portrait pins, stickers and effects are cosmetic revision rewards. They are not money, credentials, grades or proof of skill. XP is earned from recorded practice; repeats of the same question version on the same day do not earn more XP. Sparks come from XP, trophies and optional daily tasks. Each task can be claimed once per UK calendar day. Three named outfit slots can store your unlocked companion looks. These names and item choices are part of your saved progress, export and deletion controls. No reward is sold, and there are no random reward boxes.
History, export and deletion
The game retains up to 5,000 recent attempts and 100 round summaries, with detailed answers for the latest 20 rounds. It also saves the wording, answer and explanation of question versions you have answered, so later content edits do not alter that history. A paused round retains its draft answer. Active rounds also retain the question definitions and marking rules they started with. XP, earned trophies, collected rewards and notebook entries are retained separately. Use Account to export the profile and synced progress as JSON or delete the application profile and progress. Deleting CircuitQuest account data does not delete your ChatGPT account or separate guest progress. For guest data, use the in-game Settings reset. The hosting provider may keep operational backups and security records under its own retention rules.
Content and source data
The question bank consists of original practice items with source references and a visible partial coverage report. It is not a copy of live City & Guilds exams. Marking reports are saved in your progress on this device and included in account sync when signed in. They are not delivered to a support inbox; export them if you want to share a report with the operator.
